General Otolaryngologist - Santa Rosa

Seeking BC/BE Otolaryngologist to practice General Otolaryngology for adult and pediatric populations in our office founded in 1972 in Santa Rosa, California. Subspecialty focus in addition to General ENT a possibility. The office has full service audiology staff and hearing aid dispensing on site as well full practice management support from the CEI Management Group (in-house billing / collections, accounting, HR, IT, Marketing) as a part of the California Ear Institute / California Sinus Institute. Sub-specialty Otology and Sinus MD´s on site 2-4 times per month. Let Them Hear Foundation associated programs offer unique opportunities for ´giving back´ locally and internationally.

Executive Director

The Let Them Hear Foundation is passionate about bringing the miracle of hearing, in the U.S. and around the world, to those who choose not to live in silence - particularly those of challenged circumstances. We aim to facilitate access to care, regardless of income level, insurance provider or country of residence.

Currently seeking a full-time, proven professional experienced in 501c3 organizational leadership preferably with health-care / medical philanthropy experience. This position includes a highly competitive benefits and compensation package.

LTHF currently employs 11 full-time and part-time staff and enjoys the assistance of several volunteers dedicated to individual projects. The ED will report to and work closely with the President of LTHF.

Areas of Responsibility:

Development

  • To lead the effort in raising funds from private and public donors or institutions to pay for the operations of the LTHF Foundation.
  • Segmentation: develop a clear segmentation of that target donor market and detailed "micro" strategic plan to maximize each target segment.
  • Develop a detailed and organized development plan to be presented to and approved by Dr. Roberson and the Board. The plan will thoughtfully blend past development accomplishments with new creative activities.
  • To manage all administrative aspects of development not least including: grant terminations and need for further development efforts

Public Relations

  • Strategic Marketing Plan - develop an annual strategic plan and budget targeting existing and new constituents of LTHF in support of the development plan.
  • Demonstrated experience in building long term strategic relationship both interpersonally as well as corporate.
  • To include relationship building among donor base and promotion in public and industry spheres to increase the presence, success and visibility of LTHF as well as its goals.
  • Extend LTHF from a loco-regionally known entity into a nationally and internationally recognized organization

Administrative

  • Programs coordination with reference to employee deliverables and deadlines, meeting current grant and funding requisites, and utilization of resources to meet objectives
  • Administration of the Cochlear Implant Program on site at both LTHF/CEI locations ( Palo Alto , San Ramon) with attention to profitability, promotional activities, research.
  • Timely and accurate reporting on performance of Executive Director activities in cooperation with in-house accounting.
  • Cooperation and coordination with the CEI Management Group is expected.
  • To ensure maintenance and delivery of accurate and up to date financial information as assisted by in-house accounting and outside consultants consistent with the rules and laws that govern public non-profit Foundations
  • Development and adherence to yearly budgets as an aid to an overall goal of maintaining the fiscal health of the organization and to ensure good stewardship of donated funds.
  • To foster an environment providing team building and cooperation while fostering innovation among individual employee participants as well as those outside the organization.
  • To maintain CME accreditation in good standing

Education and Experience:

  • BA Required
  • MBA or equivalent experience preferred
  • Minimum 10 years related experience
  • Experience in healthcare/medical philanthropy preferred

Audiology Assistant - Palo Alto  

California Ear Institute, Northern California's premier site for treatment of ear, hearing, and balance disorders, has an immediate need for a full time Audiology Assistant in our Palo Altooffice.

Job Summary

Support the Audiology staff of CEI and the Let Them Hear Foundation. This position reports to the Office Manager. Track invoices, warranties and repair orders. Order equipment and new hearing devices for the Audiologists. Prepare purchase orders and agreements for newly purchased devices. Order supplies and stock the Hearing Device Lab. Assist patients with troubleshooting their hearing aid repairs. Prepare equipment for provider appointments. 

Requirements

  • Desire and aptitude to work in a busy, growing company. 
  • 1-3 years experience in a medical office or a hospital in a similar capactity to this position. 
  • Computer literate with keyboard skills 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to remain calm and focused with all levels of patient interaction 
  • Excels at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly 
  • High school diploma 
  • Medical Assistant Diploma or Medical Office Administrative Diploma a plus!

Front Desk/Medical Receptionist – Palo Alto  

California Ear Institute, Northern California's premier site for treatment of ear, hearing, and balance disorders, has an immediate need for a full time Front Desk/Medical Receptionist at its headquarters in Palo Alto. 

Job Responsibilities

Register patients, schedule patient appointments using Advanced MD, answer and route calls, explain financial and collection policies to new patients, maintain solid knowledge about all managed care plans, and general front office maintenance. Demonstrate integrity, honesty, and respect when interacting with patients and fellow employees. 

Requirements

  • Desire and aptitude to work in a busy, growing company. 
  • 1-3 years experience in a medical office or a hospital in a similar capactity to this position.
  • Working knowledge of managed care—overall understanding of HMO’s, PPO’s, and capitation 
  • Computer literate with keyboard skills 
  • Familiarity with scheduling and rearranging appointments 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Ability to remain calm and focused with all levels of patient interaction 
  • Excels at handling multiple tasks simultaneously and quickly
