Cholesterol Granulomma
Indications for Surgery
Symptomatic, enlarging Cholesterol Granulomma of the ear and/or skull base are indications that you may need surgery. 
Anesthesia
This procedure requires a General Anesthetic.
Surgical Time
The length of this procedure is 1 to 4 hours.
Hospital Admission
Hospitalization for 1-3 days may be required, occasionally outpatient surgery may be an option.
About the Procedure
Middle Fossa and mastoid approach to remove the fluid-filled mass and to provide drainage to the middle ear if possible.
